Keith was born in Laos, and is part Mien and part Laotian. His family migrated to the refugee camp in Thailand, then immigrated to Seattle, WA. in the fall of 1980. Started music and photography in his teen. He picked up the camera and started shooting people, and eventually found a career in photography. He eventually changed his major at Sacramento State University from Electrical & Electronic Engineering to Photography, and attended Sacramento City College. Received his Associate in Arts from Sacramento City College, and his Bachelor of Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating from Cal Poly, he headed south to Los Angeles, and landed an assistant position to the great, Penthouse and Playboy photographer, Ken Marcus. Then assisted and printed for great celebrity photographer, Jeff Dunas. Inspired and motivated, Keith moved back to Sacramento to start his own photography venture. Currently, doing freelance works, personal projects, and is part owner of Import Entertainment and Asia Diva, as well as being the chief photographer. Keith hopes to continue his education by obtaining his M.F.A so that he may teach one day.
His mentors include Helmet Newton, Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, Jeff Dunas, David LaChapelle, Patrick DeMarchelier, and Sante D'Orazio. |
